Trellis

Tutor policies

The standards every tutor agrees to.

Approved tutors accept these before they teach. Breaching them means removal from the platform.

These are the rules of teaching on Trellis. They are not house style — most of them are Ghanaian law, and breaking them can end a teaching career or a liberty. Read them once, properly. If anything here is unclear, ask your Learning Advisor before your first lesson, not after.

Under the Children’s Act 1998 (Act 560), a child is a person below the age of eighteen. Every student you meet through Trellis is a child in law, including the SHS students who look and sound grown. The duty of care never drops because a student is tall, confident, or nearly finished school.

This policy reflects Ghanaian law as we understand it and does not replace it. Where this policy and the law differ, the law wins. Last reviewed 17 July 2026.
